A Wonderlic Case Study
Wayne State University’s M.A. program in Industrial/Organizational Psychology needed to give students real-world experience in employment testing—a capability many programs lack. The challenge was teaching students to administer, score and interpret a range of cognitive, personality and skills tests so they could reliably predict job performance in applied settings.
The solution was an Employment Testing course that uses a large battery of instruments, including the Wonderlic Personnel and Basic Skills Tests, which are quick (12 minutes) and strong predictors of job performance. Students run studies comparing tests and traditional hiring methods, gaining hands-on skills and research experience that prepare them to make evidence-based selection decisions after graduation.
