A Wonderlic Case Study
Harrison College is a two‑year, career-focused institution that trains students for job-oriented fields like medical technology, business, and IT, and provides lifelong placement and employer networking services. Faced with the need to place applicants into rigorous, fast-paced programs where hands‑on performance matters, the college needed a reliable way to predict which candidates would succeed academically and on the job.
Harrison uses the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Exam (SLE) during admissions to measure ability to learn and place students in the right programs; candidates get two attempts and those who don’t pass are guided to refresher courses before reapplying. The SLE — approved by the American Council on Education and accepted by accrediting bodies — has helped Harrison make better admissions decisions, set students up for success in demanding programs, and ultimately improve graduate readiness for employers.
