Mercy Clinic NW Arkansas wanted to increase Medicare Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs), but scheduling them was time-consuming because staff had to spend 10–15 minutes explaining the visits to patients. To address this challenge, the clinic worked with Wolters Kluwer ELM Solutions and used Emmi interactive voice response phone calls to educate patients and encourage them to book an appointment.
Wolters Kluwer ELM Solutions’ Emmi calls reached 2,696 of 6,090 targeted Medicare patients, and 762 of those patients were transferred to scheduling. The campaign helped Mercy schedule AWVs without keeping staff on the phone for long periods of time and generated an estimated $169,164 to $215,646 in revenue, depending on the mix of first-time and subsequent visits.
