CHS, a global agribusiness cooperative, needed a solution to manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical data across its enterprise to ensure compliance and worker safety. Their challenge was to provide a single source of truth for up-to-date SDSs, particularly for divisions outside of their specialized agronomy and lubricants units. The solution involved a standardized integration between the Enablon and Verisk 3E platforms from Wolters Kluwer ELM Solutions. This provided CHS’s Petroleum Refining division with instant, automatic access to a library of over 8 million updated SDSs and global regulatory data from 3,000 regulations. The results included consistent, enterprise-wide access to SDSs, accurate site-specific chemical inventories for reporting, and full data auditability, all while reducing maintenance.
