Deerfield Academy, a private high school, sought to modernize its curriculum by creating an introductory digital humanities course. The challenge was to provide students with a competitive skill set using a tool that offered access to comprehensive data and professional-level text analytics, but with an interface that was understandable for high-school students with little coding experience. They turned to the Wolfram Language from vendor Wolfram to find a solution.

The solution implemented with Wolfram provided an all-in-one platform with sophisticated text processing, high-level visualizations, and immediate access to built-in data. This allowed students to perform high-level computational analyses with very little code. As a result, students were able to undertake their own research projects within a week, with work compared by faculty to doctoral-level output. Wolfram's technology provided the perfect combination of power and ease of use to make the course a success.
