Arch Global Resolves Scheduling Priority Battles

Arch Global’s ULTRA-DEX division was struggling with chronic scheduling priority battles that hurt on-time delivery: a large backlog of overdue orders and conflicts between make-to-order and make-to-stock jobs competing for the same shop resources. To address this, Arch Global engaged WM Synergy to deploy Protected Flow Manufacturing™ (PFM) to better prioritize work and improve delivery performance.

WM Synergy’s PFM introduced clear, real-time prioritization and WIP control so shared people and machines no longer fought over which jobs to run. The results were rapid and measurable: overdue jobs fell from over 100 to about 40 by the end of a month, then to just 14 (only one to two days late) shortly after, while throughput and shop-floor efficiency increased — enabling Arch Global to consider shorter quoted lead times, reduced overtime, and lower inventory levels.
