Fira de Barcelona worked with Wizzie Analytics and its Wizzie Data Platform (WDP) to improve the management of staff and providers across its large trade show venues. When COVID-19 hit, the organization also needed a way to monitor people flow and support social distancing at major events while maintaining safety and operational control.

Wizzie Analytics implemented a big data, Wi-Fi-based social distancing and people-flow solution that uses access points, virtual cells, heat maps, AI modules, and integration with video surveillance to track occupancy and detect patterns in real time. The platform can process up to 8,000 events per second, scales elastically in the cloud, and was successfully used at Bizbarcelona and the Saló de l’Ocupació, helping Fira de Barcelona comply with density regulations and improve incident response and operational efficiency.
