Westmoreland Intermediate integrates WizIQ VC with their Moodle platform to deliver learning in a blended format

Westmoreland Intermediate Unit #7 (WIUeAcademy), a regional K–12 service agency serving 17 school districts in Pennsylvania, needed a way to blend brick-and-mortar instruction with online learning. They wanted a Moodle-compatible solution that provided real-time voice/video interaction, advanced content sharing, class recording, and collaboration — without requiring students or teachers to download additional software.

WIUeAcademy implemented the WizIQ Virtual Classroom inside each Moodle installation and trained more than 250 teachers to deliver synchronous online lessons. The result was a quick, low-cost blended-learning model that enabled cross-district course delivery, expanded students’ course choices (including credit recovery and unique electives), and created a consortium of online offerings across district schools.
