SCDL chooses the WizIQ Virtual Classroom to promote quality higher education

Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL), a leading distance-education provider in Pune, faced a major challenge: remote and international students had no direct interaction with faculty, and existing phone- and email-based doubt resolution didn’t encourage real-time discussion or engagement.

SCDL integrated the WizIQ Virtual Classroom into its LMS to provide live audio/video, text chat, virtual hand-raising and recorded sessions without extra investment. Launched July 24, 2010, the solution enabled immediate query resolution and greater participation—nearly 250 classes (avg. 75 minutes) attended by about 4,500 students in the first seven months—garnering strong positive feedback from students and faculty and ongoing faculty training to optimize use.
