Red Oak Academy is a homeschool provider serving grades 1–12 that delivers live video classes, AP courses, dual college enrollment, and support for international and specially‑abled learners. The school needed an affordable, Moodle‑compatible virtual classroom with live whiteboard tools and reliable class recordings because earlier setups (Windows Media streaming and costly WebEx) were limited or too expensive for their rolling, geographically dispersed student body.

Red Oak implemented the WizIQ Virtual Classroom plugin for Moodle, gaining live whiteboard, recording, scheduling and accessibility features that support group and one‑on‑one instruction and a multi‑year archive. The solution reduced costs, enabled about 130 students to be taught online in a term (roughly 160 average annually), let 12 instructors teach remotely, provided flexible enrollment via archived classes, and delivered high satisfaction with stable integration and tech support.
