IEC Dallas Delivers Blended Learning and Lesson Captures with WizIQ

Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC) Dallas runs a four-year electrical apprentice program that requires 8,000 hours of on-the-job work and 576 hours of classroom training. Texas law’s in-class attendance requirement created problems for apprentices who work out of town, so IEC Dallas needed a complete online teaching solution with course creation and scheduling tools, centralized management of multiple teacher accounts, and live-broadcast and recording capabilities to serve absentee students and support flipped learning.

In 2011 IEC Dallas adopted WizIQ’s Virtual Classroom and enterprise features to manage five teacher accounts, schedule and deliver live classes, host multimedia courseware, and create online tests. Since then they’ve delivered 500+ live sessions, publish both live and self-paced courses, broadcast and record physical classes for absentees and review, and now smoothly manage teachers and up to 100 attendees while maintaining a shared content library and administrative control.
