Building a Security App MVP for Cerby to Obtain a $3.5M Pre-Seed Investment

Cerby, a cybersecurity company focused on helping enterprises manage non-IT purchased software, needed to move quickly with a proof of concept and minimum viable product for its security platform. The challenge was to build a solution that could automate authentication, authorization, and security posture management for shared digital resources, without having a large enough internal engineering team to deliver it fast enough on their own. Cerby partnered with Wizeline for product development support, including backend, frontend, mobile apps, and a browser plugin.

Wizeline designed and built Cerby’s POC and MVP using AWS, Python, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, React Native, Swift, Node.js, and React. The solution enabled multi-factor authentication workflows, workplace management, and other key security features that helped Cerby launch with early design partners and customers. The result was a successful MVP that supported Cerby’s $3.5M pre-seed funding announcement in September 2020 and accelerated its path to market, while giving Cerby a foundation for future product and support growth with Wizeline.
