Southwind Foods, a major importer, packager, and distributor of seafood, meat, and poultry, needed to support rapid growth after consolidating operations into a larger frozen storage facility. The company had to automate put-away, pallet management, and picking while maintaining real-time visibility for FIFO rotation, country of origin tracking, and other critical product data in sub-zero conditions.

WiSys, working with The Attivo Group and other partners, implemented a tailored WMS integrated with Macola ERP, along with facility-wide WiFi and scanners built to operate at -10°F. The new system became the backbone of Southwind Foods’ operations, improving efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and cost control while supporting continued sales growth and a more solid operational infrastructure.
