How WiSys Helped Auburn Manufacturing Improve Customer Service and Inventory Management
Auburn Manufacturing, a South Central Maine producer of high-performance coated textiles and composite fabrics, needed a better way to handle customer service and inventory visibility. Working with WiSys through its Macola reseller, Acuity, the company turned to an integrated warehouse management system to solve frequent stock inaccuracies and slow, manual checks across multiple locations.
WiSys implemented a barcoded inventory and warehouse management process that let Auburn Manufacturing track rolls in real time, improve shipping accuracy, and streamline audits and counting. The results were significant: inventory became reliable, audit time dropped from half a day to about 1–1.5 hours, year-end shutdowns were reduced from a week to about 3 days, on-time delivery reached 98–99%, and shipping volume increased by about 25%.
