ThoughtWorks is a global software consultancy (3,000+ employees across 33 offices) whose “product” is its people. Facing the challenge of attracting and qualifying talented, often passive, technical candidates—and wanting to showcase culture and work without relying on YouTube—they needed a way to present targeted, high-quality content and identify the best prospects efficiently.
They built a recruiting engine using Wistia-hosted videos integrated with Marketo: career-focused video content paired with simple registration and a careers checkbox, behavior-based segmentation, and targeted remarketing (social and pre-roll). This approach prioritized sourcing, delivered well-aligned candidates, saved thousands per hire, and helped ThoughtWorks recruit over 400 applicants in 2015, with plans to scale and repurpose content further.
