Using Social Media to boost brand awareness for a new online store

Nordweg, a new online B2C luggage company, wanted to build brand awareness, grow its Facebook following, and collect contact data to market directly to its audience. To do this, Nordweg used Wishpond’s Sweepstakes product to run a giveaway for a Nordweg Backpack and create buzz around its new store.

Using Wishpond’s Sweepstakes, Nordweg launched the campaign on its Facebook page and encouraged viral sharing through friends of friends. The results were strong: Wishpond helped Nordweg reach a potential audience of over 1.2 million, capture 2,442 entrants, double its Facebook fans, and increase online sales in just one month.
