Using Social Media for Customer Driven Product Design

Stitch Collective, an accessory retailer focused on customer-driven product design, needed an easy-to-use online voting system to expand the reach of its design challenges, increase social sharing, and gain better insights into voter behavior. The company turned to Wishpond, using Wishpond’s Social Voting contest and Social Analytics for its City Bag Challenge.

Wishpond helped Stitch Collective run a Facebook-powered voting contest where customers voted on 12 designer finalists, creating strong virality and valuable data. In less than a month, the contest drew almost 4,000 participants, generated close to 27,000 views, and reached a potential audience of 2.5 million, while also giving Stitch Collective detailed audience insights that improved email targeting and future promotions.
