A WiseTech Global Case Study
Senator International, a Germany-based freight, shipping and warehousing specialist founded in 1984, faced a growing problem as its warehouse operations expanded worldwide: each country used different systems, data had to be emailed and re-keyed, and the resulting inefficiencies and risk of delivery errors were unacceptable for high-volume clients such as automobile manufacturers. IT manager Oliver Kulbach identified the need for a single, integrated, hosted solution with a global database, automation and intuitive workflows to maintain reliability and scalability.
Senator implemented the CargoWise One platform, piloting in the UK and rolling it out across Europe and other branches. The cloud-based, modular system delivered automated workflows, scheduled reporting, integrated scanning and customer-system interfaces, giving centralized access and 100% visibility across multiple warehouses. The result was higher productivity, fewer errors, the ability to support new contracts and services previously unavailable, and a leaner IT footprint since the vendor handles technical maintenance.
