Outdoor Voices is a community‑driven activewear brand known for its #DoingThings ethos and triple‑digit annual growth. As the company scaled across HQ, nine shops, and a mix of corporate and retail employees, OV faced the challenge of preserving a tight, inclusive culture and delivering consistent, effective training to diverse, distributed teams.

OV reinforced culture through regular rituals (monthly “The Smile” meetings and weekly stand‑ups), an operating principle of “human not superhuman,” and by building the Rec Center — a remote training platform for retail that provides real‑time updates, brand/product education, and a channel for field expertise. Those initiatives have increased day‑to‑day efficiency, empowered employees to communicate directly with customers, improved cross‑team understanding, and positioned OV to expand omni‑channel operations and scale field teams as it opens new flagship stores.
