Crescent Electric Supply Company, which represents more than 600 vendors, carries over 500,000 products, and serves 27 states through 120 distribution facilities, faced a limited eCommerce presence: its website listed only about 3,800 SKUs, with incomplete and outdated product data and little visibility into competitive pricing. To build a “superstore” reflecting inventory from all locations and to onboard and enrich thousands of products efficiently, Crescent Electric engaged Wiser Solutions and its product data enrichment software.

Wiser Solutions automated the collection, blending, cleansing and classification of product data using customizable “recipes,” enabling rapid scaling and higher-quality content. After two days of training and roughly two weeks of implementation work, Crescent Electric and Wiser Solutions created 100+ recipes and increased SKUs from 3,800 to 46,000 in less than two months, while adding detailed specifications, instructions and competitive pricing visibility to support improved merchandising and pricing strategy.
