An Ice Cream Manufacturer Successfully Launched New Products Thanks to Wiser’s In-Store Retail Intelligence

Ice Cream Manufacturer, a leading ice cream brand in Australia, launched a new range of flavors backed by national advertising, discounted pricing, and branded POS materials. Despite the investment, the company had little store-level visibility into whether products were actually on shelves, whether promotional signage was being executed, or whether launch issues were hurting conversion. It turned to Wiser Solutions and its Retail Intelligence offering to diagnose the problem.

Using crowdsourced mystery shoppers, Wiser Solutions checked 400 stores across Australia in the first two weeks of launch, capturing SKU availability, pricing, POS presence, and planogram compliance. The data revealed that 100% of stores were non-compliant in some way: 60% had no new SKUs at all, 80% were missing key promotional signage, and one SKU appeared in fewer than 1% of visits. Wiser Solutions helped the manufacturer identify distribution and POS delivery failures, enabling fast corrective action and leading to a 16% lift in shelf availability.
