Scout Distribution Expands its Last-Mile Reach with Wise Systems

Scout Distribution, a craft beverage wholesaler headquartered in San Diego, faced growing logistical complexity as it planned satellite warehouses across the region. Reliant on manual, pen-and-paper routing and light ERP routing, the operation needed a scalable platform to centralize fleet data and automate last-mile dispatch. In 2020 Scout turned to Wise Systems and adopted its AI-driven dispatch and routing platform along with the Driver and Mobile Merchandiser apps.

Wise Systems implemented dynamic, machine-learning routing and centralized visibility—providing pre-routed daily stops, real-time locations and ETAs, shared customer notes, and inventory tools. The change saved Scout more than 30 minutes per person per day (including roughly 15 minutes saved by drivers starting with pre-routed runs), improved on-time deliveries and customer service, and gave the team the visibility and agility to expand confidently into new California and Arizona markets.
