Bilt Rewards accelerates development and delivers on schedule with WireMock Cloud

Bilt Rewards, a loyalty program for renters, faced challenges accurately simulating system behavior and parallelizing work between their development teams while integrating numerous third-party APIs and new microservices. To overcome these blockers and accelerate their development process, they adopted WireMock Cloud after previous experience with the open-source WireMock for unit testing.

The solution implemented by WireMock provided a hosted platform to prototype and mock APIs, enabling parallel development and realistic integration testing. This allowed Bilt Rewards' teams to work against a common API reference, simulate complex scenarios and error states, and run automated tests. As a result, developers spent more time on development instead of managing environments, and the project was delivered on schedule with fewer resources, with one engineer stating they could not have met their requirements without WireMock.
