University of Warwick boosts 4G and 5G connectivity across campus with Wireless Infrastructure Group

The University of Warwick required a solution to deliver resilient multi-operator mobile connectivity across its campus while balancing technical performance with strict aesthetic and planning constraints. Wireless Infrastructure Group (WIG) was engaged to design and deploy discreet rooftop infrastructure that could support multiple operators' evolving 4G and 5G demands without visual impact.

WIG implemented a unique rooftop installation using both screened and open-mounted infrastructure, avoiding a traditional tower. The solution integrated antennas within a GRP shroud and on discrete structural frames at the building perimeter. This deployment by Wireless Infrastructure Group provides reliable 4G and 5G coverage for the campus and the wider West Midlands region, strengthens digital infrastructure along key transport corridors, and maximizes value through a shared infrastructure model that reduces environmental impact.
