National Grid, the UK's largest electricity and gas utility, faced the challenge of replacing its aging and costly bespoke Work Management Solution for its field engineers. Wipro was tasked with implementing a new, critical IT solution to ensure business continuity and improve field force performance.

Wipro implemented a pioneering SAP Mobility platform, creating the UK utility industry's first iOS-based work management solution. This included a corporate app store and mobile device management, providing engineers with intuitive "point of work" devices. The solution, delivered on time and on budget, unlocked multi-million-pound efficiencies through improved scheduling, data accuracy, and field productivity. Wipro's governance ensured smooth user adoption and the project won a UK SAP excellence award for innovation.
