The customer, JCB India Limited, a leading construction equipment manufacturer, needed to remotely monitor the health and performance of its machinery in the field to increase customer value and prevent asset misuse. To address this challenge, they partnered with vendor Wipro.
Wipro deployed its cloud-based IoT platform, 'Looking Glass,' to design and implement the LiveLink solution. This end-to-end engagement included creating custom hardware and a cloud backend to connect and monitor the equipment. The solution successfully connected 20,000 machines, leading to improved asset uptime, utilization, and safety for customers, while also opening new revenue models for JCB and its dealers.
