Wipro elevates service performance and operational efficiency for Mitie

Mitie, a leading UK facilities management services provider, needed to modernize its IT landscape to improve application availability, boost performance, and reduce costs by moving its on-premise SAP environment to Microsoft Azure. The company also wanted to upgrade SAP ECC, update its operating system and database, and streamline release management and access for its ERP systems.

Wipro implemented its Safe Passage to Cloud framework to re-host, re-platform, and re-factor Mitie’s SAP workloads onto Azure, migrating systems including SAP ECC, Solution Manager, Gateway, and PI. The project delivered lower license and infrastructure costs, improved availability and performance, and reduced password reset efforts through SSO; the migration and EHP 8 upgrade were completed in a single outage over just over 5 months, with no critical tickets during hypercare and no P1 or P2 incidents.
