Leading Semiconductor Company eSilicon needed a more agile infrastructure to handle highly variable chip-design compute and storage demands, speed time to market, and move beyond its hybrid cloud limits. It turned to Wipro, leveraging Wipro Cloud Studio and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to plan a major migration of its ASIC and IP design workloads.

Wipro assessed 400+ nodes, migrated 94 pilot instances, moved over 2 PB of NFS storage and hundreds of VMs, and completed the transformation without business downtime. The result was a highly scalable cloud environment, 100% utilization through automated orchestration, about 20% lower IT TCO, and a two-weeks-ahead-of-schedule exit from Wipro data centers, making eSilicon the first semiconductor company to design chips on public cloud.
