Leading Media Group, a Europe-based media and digital company with multiple datacentres and Citrix farms across Europe, faced major IT management challenges, poor visibility, and stability issues in a legacy Windows 2003 environment that was nearing end of support. The customer needed to migrate several Citrix farms to a central location within just three months, and turned to Wipro Virtuadesk™ for help.

Wipro implemented Wipro Virtuadesk™, a desktop virtualization solution built on Cisco UCS, Datacore software-defined storage, and Citrix, consolidating multiple farms into one central farm across two datacentres and moving 4,000 users. The new platform was delivered in three months and resulted in 25% lower VDI total cost of ownership, contractor VDI provisioning time dropping from 1–2 weeks to 1–2 hours, and a 2x improvement in desktop stability and performance, along with stronger business continuity and security.
