Industrial Township Authority, managing a 903-acre township with 158 companies, wanted to deliver smarter city services and improve quality of life by integrating systems for street lights, water metering, waste, environmental monitoring, incident response, fleet management, CCTV, smart parking, and e-toilets. To achieve near real-time asset control and monitoring, it turned to Wipro as its strategic IT partner.

Wipro designed and deployed the smart city architecture, including a data integration platform, private cloud test bed, and data exchange layer connecting smart systems and external devices. The phased rollout improved compliance, transparency, and operational efficiency, while enabling near real-time analytics and better decision-making; measurable gains included monitoring more than five parking areas, timely waste-bin clearance, optimized streetlight power use, proactive resource mobilization, and real-time fleet tracking.
