Empowering Grameenphone to Leverage the Cloud for Agility and Growth

Grameenphone, Bangladesh’s leading telecommunications operator, needed to modernize its technology systems to meet surging demand for high-speed internet and digital services. The company wanted a cloud-based ERP and supply-chain platform to improve agility, simplify IT, reduce operating costs, and replace manual, complex processes with connected workflows and better insights. Wipro supported Grameenphone in this transformation using an Oracle Fusion Cloud-based solution.

Wipro implemented cloud migration, integrations with local and global systems, automated approvals, and custom reporting across finance, procurement, order management, inventory, and manufacturing. The result was greater operational efficiency, improved security, and lower on-premises hardware costs, while scalable cloud capabilities helped Grameenphone support more than 15,000 towers with 4G services and prepare for nearly 100% mobile data growth between 2020 and 2025.
