Dräger Improves Medical Device Design with Data

Drägerwerk AG & Co. KGaA, a medical devices and safety equipment company, needed a way to manage the growing complexity of product design and development while improving transparency, compliance, and end-to-end traceability across its value chain. To address this, Dräger looked for a technology-neutral Enterprise Data Dependency Management (EDDM) platform and partnered with Wipro, using Wipro’s experience in ALM and PLM integration.

Wipro implemented the EDDM solution with OSLC-based data linking, an open standards approach, a scalable framework for heterogeneous systems, and a richer UI for link editing and baseline tracking. As a result, Dräger can now trace engineering artifacts such as requirements, architectures, test plans, and test cases without leaving their applications, improving granular traceability and boosting overall productivity.
