USI, a leading provider of installation, construction, and distribution services, needed a better financial and operational reporting and analytics tool after managing 20 different general ledgers across 38 locations in 13 states. Its consolidated reporting process was static, highly manual, and time-intensive, so the company turned to Wipfli for help with a QlikView implementation.

Wipfli built a proof-of-concept financial reporting dashboard in less than a week and then consolidated data from multiple systems into one reporting solution. With QlikView, USI now produces and analyzes financial and branch-level metrics in one tool, and reports that once took up to 10 days are ready the day after books are closed. The company also expanded use of the system for budgeting and forecasting, inventory management, fleet maintenance, and lead generation and bidding activities, with strong user adoption across executive, branch manager, finance, procurement, and credit and collection teams.
