Särkänniemi, Finland’s largest and most versatile recreation centre, needed a reliable and flexible point-of-sale solution to support its wide range of operations across amusement park attractions, restaurants, kiosks, shops and ticket sales. With dozens of fixed and mobile terminals and hundreds of seasonal employees relying on the system each summer, the customer’s main challenge was ensuring smooth, user-friendly and dependable sales operations during its busiest periods. Winpos POS System provided the POS platform used across the site.

Winpos POS System implemented a distributed POS setup with multiple servers and integration support for Särkänniemi’s webshop, accounting software and sales reporting tools. The solution helped streamline operations, simplify staff training through a training mode, and adapt to changing sales point needs. The system has been in use for six years and has scaled to support 57 fixed and 13 mobile terminals, about 100 seasonal users, and additional expansion such as the new Zones by Särkänniemi indoor amusement park.
