A WinMan ERP Case Study
Marine & General Engineers (M&G), a Guernsey-based business combining a boatyard, engineering/fabrication division and a busy chandlery/retail store, faced the challenge of managing complex job billing, timesheets/payroll, warranty work and a large stores inventory of around 9,500 product lines while still serving retail customers. To replace disparate legacy software, paper-based processes and ad-hoc record keeping, M&G implemented WinMan ERP’s WinMan software as a single integrated system to provide real‑time job, stock and customer information.
WinMan ERP delivered job-costing, barcode labelling, service-kit workflows, job information sheets and integration with MYPOS tills and third‑party payroll, plus automated goods-receipt charging to jobs and five‑minute POS synchronization. As a result, WinMan ERP gave M&G improved stock and labour accuracy, reduced corrective journals, fewer customer queries, recovered previously missed invoice items (increasing revenue) and materially improved operational efficiency across all three trading arms.
