WinMan ensures Lean and precise production at Lander Automotive

Lander Automotive, a Birmingham-based tier one supplier, invested around £5m in a new plant to deliver precision-manufactured vehicle fluid and air systems and to ramp to volumes of up to 10 million engine parts per year. The company needed tight supplier planning, minimal work-in-progress, Kanban-led lean production and the flexibility to meet differing customer workflows — challenges it addressed with WinMan ERP software as a core enabler.

WinMan ERP was implemented to automate MRP, generate bills of materials, email supplier orders, and provide shop-floor data collection with barcoding, Kanban replenishment and paperless ASNs. The solution gave Lander real-time visibility and traceability across thousands of part numbers, helped cut inventory by a couple of hundred thousand pounds, supported deliveries within four-hour windows and lets Lander scale from ~£36m toward its £50m target without large increases in staff.
