John Sankey is a family-run UK sofa and chair manufacturer that makes every item to individual customer order, offering millions of possible combinations (about 500 fabrics and 15 leg colours). Faced with the challenge of accurately capturing bespoke options, generating correct bills of materials, scheduling varied labour times, planning daily production and managing traceability and transport, the company adopted the Product Configurator and modules within WinMan ERP to handle its complex order-to-manufacture process.

WinMan ERP delivered a configurable Product Configurator, production-planning and transport-allocation modules that build sales and back-to-back manufacturing orders, generate BOMs and labour schedules, produce van-loading documentation, and track fabric and timber lot numbers. The result was streamlined administration (cutting out processes and saving labour), elimination of multiple databases and transcription errors, far better dashboards and analysis (staff report them as “100 times better”), and full traceability back to fabric rolls and wood batches — all enabled by WinMan ERP.
