Faster, more-accurate village surveys in Switzerland

Jean-Michel Vuadens SA, a small survey firm in Switzerland, needed a faster and more accurate way to map villages in Canton Valais for cadastral surveying. The team also faced challenging mountainous terrain with limited takeoff space, making traditional field methods time-consuming and difficult.

Using WingtraOne from Wingtra, the firm captured high-resolution orthophotos with PPK accuracy and terrain following to support broad-coverage village surveys. Wingtra helped reduce survey time from at least 2 weeks to just 3 days for areas of about 500 hectares, while improving photo quality and enabling 2 cm GSD and resolutions down to 3 cm for reliable cadastral mapping.
