ENGEO cuts Treasure Island drone mapping time by 75% with Wingtra

ENGEO, a company contracted to perform weekly drone mapping surveys of the historically significant Treasure Island, faced challenges with the efficiency and data quality of their existing quadcopter drone solution. Partnering with photogrammetry specialists TraceAir, they sought a more effective method and were introduced to a demonstration of the WingtraOne GEN II drone from vendor Wingtra.

The solution implemented was the WingtraOne GEN II, which mapped the same area in a single flight, reducing data collection time to a third of that required by the quadcopter. The data captured by Wingtra was highly accurate, achieving an impressive vertical (Z) accuracy of 0.03 ft, and was notably more reliable with fewer artifacts and gaps. This demonstration proved to ENGEO that Wingtra provided a significantly faster and higher-quality mapping solution.
