Byggeweb (Docia) is a Danish collaboration and facilities-management software company serving the building and construction industry with its Docia product and CoreFM visual management tools. The company struggled with time-consuming, case-by-case report generation and needed the ability to offer individually customized report layouts for different customers.

Byggeweb implemented Windward’s reporting engine, which lets users design templates in Word, Excel or PowerPoint, insert images on the fly, and output PDF, Word, HTML, Excel or PowerPoint with scheduling, archiving and email delivery. Implementation was straightforward (one developer creates the base template; nontechnical staff customize layouts), and report creation is now about five times faster, with instant or scheduled reports and strong vendor support.
