Axe Group, an award-winning Australian provider of the Axelerator insurance platform, relied on document generation for quotes, letters and applications. Their previous iText-based solution made template creation and revisions slow, “fiddly,” IT-intensive and expensive, extending project cycles and limiting output formats.

After trialing options, Axe Group embedded Windward (AutoTag + Engine), which uses familiar Office tools for template design, flexible templates, easy integration and affordable licensing. The switch cut document creation time by about 10x (new docs in ~1 hour vs 1–2 days), shortened projects from years to weeks, enabled on-site edits in ~10 minutes (changes that once could have cost clients ~$50,000), reduced IT overhead and licensing costs, and improved customer satisfaction and new business wins.
