Major League Baseball® franchise implements SD-WAN for home run connectivity that boosts IT resiliency, reliability and network performance

The Cleveland Guardians, a Major League Baseball franchise with eight locations and roughly 600 employees, faced an outdated network that lacked sufficient bandwidth, redundancy and cost-efficiency as data‑rich applications and game‑day systems became critical. To address these challenges they partnered with Windstream Enterprise, adopting SD‑WAN along with Cloud Connect and the WE Connect portal.

Windstream Enterprise implemented SD‑WAN across the Guardians’ sites (including Progressive Field) with dual active/active links, provided dedicated Cloud Connect links to Google Cloud virtual servers, and manages the environment via the centralized WE Connect portal. The deployment delivered reliable, resilient connectivity, significant cost savings, simplified management, and the bandwidth needed to enable new applications and seamless onboarding of cloud services.
