Ephrata National Bank (ENB), a 140‑year‑old community bank operating 14 branches, was struggling with an aging MPLS network that caused roughly half a dozen outages a year, limited bandwidth at some locations, an unreliable on‑premises voice system, and poor network visibility. As a longtime customer, ENB engaged Windstream Enterprise for a modern upgrade, selecting Windstream Enterprise’s SD‑WAN Concierge and related connectivity services to meet its need for near‑24/7 uptime and better cloud support.
Windstream Enterprise replaced MPLS with SD‑WAN Concierge using high‑bandwidth Ethernet as primary, cable broadband as secondary, and Cellular Broadband as a tertiary backup in an active/active configuration, and provided the WE Connect portal for centralized visibility. The Windstream Enterprise solution delivered significantly higher bandwidth and reliability, enabled a cloud‑based voice migration, made complete outages extremely rare (vs. roughly six per year), improved voice quality, reduced expenses, and freed IT staff from manual failover tasks.
