A Windstream Enterprise Case Study
Brook Lane Health Services, a nonprofit behavioral health provider with a hospital, three outpatient facilities, two schools and 550+ employees serving Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia, faced insufficient bandwidth, frequent network outages, inadequate resiliency and costly legacy MPLS and TDM voice systems after moving to a new EMR. To address these challenges they engaged Windstream Enterprise and adopted SD‑WAN Concierge along with High Bandwidth Ethernet and Dynamic IP voice services.
Windstream Enterprise replaced the MPLS with an active/active SD‑WAN design (Ethernet primary, cable secondary), deployed Dynamic IP for VoIP, and even helped fund an Ethernet build amortized over five years. The solution delivered increased bandwidth, automated failover with zero network outages, lower network and voice costs versus MPLS/TDM, enabled rapid telehealth and remote work during the pandemic, and is actively managed via Windstream Enterprise’s WE Connect tools.
