SkipperBud’s, a recreational boat retailer with 21 U.S. locations, was struggling with an aging MPLS/T1 network that caused frequent outages, limited bandwidth, unreliable voice services, poor network visibility, and complex systems management. To support continued growth and improve customer experience, they partnered with Windstream Enterprise for modern networking including SD‑WAN, Cellular Broadband, high‑bandwidth Ethernet and the WE Connect customer portal.

Windstream Enterprise deployed SD‑WAN in a dual active/active configuration, upgraded most sites to high‑bandwidth Ethernet, provided Cellular Broadband for remote locations, and gave SkipperBud’s centralized control via the WE Connect portal. The solution delivered significantly reduced outages and downtime, better application and voice performance, increased staff productivity, cost savings, and improved network visibility and control.
