Resort Lifestyle Communities, a hospitality company operating 61 senior-living communities with roughly 2,000 employees, faced outdated T1 lines, insufficient bandwidth for streaming, on-site theaters, WiFi and guest Internet, and a fragmented mix of access vendors that overburdened its lean IT team. To address these challenges, Resort Lifestyle Communities engaged Windstream Enterprise to modernize its network using SD-WAN and related services.

Windstream Enterprise deployed SD-WAN with primary Ethernet and secondary broadband in an active/active configuration, replaced T1s with Dynamic IP and SIP trunks, and provided the WE Connect portal for co-management. The solution pooled bandwidth, prioritized latency-sensitive apps, reduced latency across corporate and local traffic, increased resiliency and guest experience, offloaded troubleshooting from RLC’s IT staff, and delivered significant cost savings by eliminating legacy T1 lines—all managed and supported by Windstream Enterprise.
