Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia, a non-profit retail and employment services organization with dozens of stores and regional centers, faced chronic bandwidth constraints, single-threaded MPLS links and frequent network outages that disrupted POS, time clocks, security systems and training programs. To solve these challenges on a limited budget, Goodwill evaluated and selected Windstream Enterprise and its SD-WAN Concierge approach along with dual broadband, Cloud Connect, MNS Cloud and Dynamic IP voice services.

Windstream Enterprise replaced the legacy MPLS across Goodwill’s sites (including 36 retail locations and headquarters), deployed SD-WAN with dual broadband and Cloud Connect to Azure, and added managed security and voice services. The result was expanded bandwidth, far greater resiliency and dramatically fewer outages, improved application and video training performance, support for record remote VPN usage during COVID‑19, and measurable cost savings that freed IT to focus on growth rather than firefighting.
