A WinAir Case Study
North-Wright Airways, a family-run, majority Aboriginal-owned charter airline based in Norman Wells, Northwest Territories, faced growing operational complexity as it expanded into remote northern services. Manual, paper-based maintenance and inventory processes could no longer support increasing staff and fleet levels, so the carrier sought an integrated aviation maintenance and inventory control solution — choosing WinAir’s maintenance and inventory control software.
WinAir implemented its core maintenance system and later added Document Management and Barcoding modules, automated tech log writing, and built-in accounting reports. The result was faster, more accurate recordkeeping, improved part traceability and fewer manual errors, and major time savings across maintenance, stores and accounting. With WinAir’s controls in place North-Wright Airways scaled from roughly 14 aircraft and 35 staff at implementation to 23 aircraft and 73 staff by 2018, and now relies on WinAir for 100% of its maintenance and inventory management.
