A WinAir Case Study
Geisinger Medical Center, operating its air ambulance service as Geisinger Life Flight, needed to replace paper task-card sign-offs with a digital authentication process. The organization partnered with WinAir, having upgraded to WinAir Version 7, to modernize maintenance sign-off workflows, reduce manual labor and office-supply costs, and move to a fully digital system.
WinAir worked closely with Geisinger to update policies and procedures and to secure approvals from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the FAA; both approvals were granted in early 2019 and WinAir’s digital signatures were implemented soon after. Geisinger forecasted this change would save about 2,200 labor hours and nearly $10,000 annually in labor and supplies, enabling reinvestment into its patient-care programs.
