Leading Financial Company, a financial services organization, needed to upgrade SAP BusinessObjects from BO XI 3.1 to SAP BI 4.1.x and migrate about 1,500 DeskI reports to Web Intelligence. The project exposed a major challenge: time-consuming regression testing and report comparison after platform changes, plus a need for ongoing validation after universe, database, and patch updates. Wiiisdom’s 360Suite tools were evaluated to help automate and strengthen this process.

Wiiisdom implemented 360Bind and 360Eyes to automate report comparison, detect differences across documents, and answer metadata usage questions about SQL fields, universe objects, and reports. In just 20 minutes, the team ran its first comparison of 10 documents and found 3 mismatches, including a BI 4.1 SP7 bug that had been missed by manual checks. With 360Eyes, they could identify usage information in about 1 hour and also uncover duplicate/similar reports and unused universe objects, with some universes showing 30–40% of objects unused. The customer said the tools significantly improved efficiency, reduced operational risk, and would have saved substantial time if used earlier.
